HELP MEET VS CONCUBINE

And YAH* God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an HELP MEET for him. – Gen 2:18 KJV

There is an ongoing debate as to the difference between a wife and a concubine, however, that is a false equivalence. You see biblically concubines ARE wives. The correcty equivalent to be compared and discussed is between a help meet and a concubine, so a woman should ask herself if she is a help meet or a concubine because it is the woman who decides her role in her man’s life NOT the man.

The title of “wife” does not instantly make a woman a “help meet” to that man.

I have taught and explained this for years but sadly there is cognitive dissonance especially within women who have been taught and caught in the delusion of the worldwide babylonian system and structure that opposes the Kingdom of YAH God and convinces them that their babylonian upside down and back to front way of thinking is conducive to make them a wife that would be recognised by YAH God as a help meet, which he originally gifted to man.

You see YAH God made a “help meet” that man called “woman”

And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, BECAUSE she was taken out of Man. – Gen 2:23 KJV

In short a help meet is dedicated to her husabnd and his mission completely, a concubine has other responsibilities or priorities that take away her ability to be totally devoted to her husband and his God given work. Nevertheless whether a help meet or concubine both are recognised as wives. A help meet would secure an inheritance because she has helped the man to do and acquire whreas a concubine would get gifts because for whatever reason her time and dedication was split.

Below is a list of every verse that refers to women that are denoted as being concubines.

To further understand the difference between a help meet and a concubine the two prime examples to compare would be Eve and Sarah

Then he said to the woman, “I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And your desire (will be contrary to your husbands desire) to control your husband, but he will rule over you.” – Gen 3:16

Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They put their trust in God and accepted the authority of their husbands. For instance, Sarah obeyed her husband, Abraham, and called him her master. You are her daughters when you do what is right without fear of what your husbands might do. – 1Pe 3:3-6 NLT

A great example of a woman who was taken as a concubine but became a help meet is the story of Esther 1-10, read it and may YAH give you revelation, insight and understanding as a woman.

As a man whether you have a wife/woman who is a concubine or a wife/woman who is a help meet our command is the same.

Eph 5:25-33 - 25 Husbands, love your wives (whether help meet or concubine), even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives (whether help meet or concubine) as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife (whether help meet or concubine) loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife (whether help meet or concubine), and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife (whether help meet or concubine) even as himself; and the wife (whether help meet or concubine) [see] that she reverence [her] husband.

Shalom Love and Blessings
