Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; FORBIDDING TO MARRY... — 1 Timothy 4:1-3 KJV

This article has been a long time coming. I searched the internet and on YouTube to find a teacher or teaching on this particular passage of scripture but I was not surprised to find that the majority of Christian teachers in the church skate over this portion of scripture regarding the forbidding of marriage and go straight to the food part. Of those who do address it they say nothing concrete that agrees with either the scriptures or has any historical validity.

Another major factor that I believe has contributed to this passage of scriptural prophecy not being addressed properly, is that this passage of scripture gives a clear description that identifies those leaders in the church, NOW, in these latter times, who have departed from the faith, who have been seduced by spirits to teach doctrines of devils, so no wonder this has not been taught, because it will expose many of your leaders or you if you are a leader teacher reading this.

This passage of scripture also brings greater clarity to the statement made by YAHushuWaH aka Jesus

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ — Matthew 7:21-23 NLT

So Let us give context to the passage. What was the Apostle writing to Timothy about?

Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles. — 1 Timothy 1:18 NLT

So we see Timothy was being given instructions, regarding the church, what to do, who is qualified to lead, what to watch out for, how to conduct himself as a leader of leaders and what is to come.

Paul gives Timothy notice of a prophecy given by the holy spirit and that is what we are going to start dealing with here

FORBIDDEN MARRIAGE

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” — Genesis 2:18 NLT

We Know that YAH God instituted marriage from in the garden. Only YAH God alone can give rules regarding marriage.

We are told very clearly…

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. — Romans 12:2 NLT

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. — Ephesians 2:1-2 NLT

But I [say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. — 1 Corinthians 10:20 KJV

This is the goddess / devil / demon that governed marriage and it’s laws throughout the Greco Roman world and beyond…

QUEEN OF HEAVEN / GODDESS OF MARRIAGE AND MONOGAMY

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead [their] dough, to make cakes to THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. — Jeremiah 7:18 KJV

Following the requirements of other gods angers YAH God and rightly so, he has a covenant with his people in which the only thing that has changed is where his commandments, his laws are written.

This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; — Hebrews 10:16 KJV

So what did YAH God command regarding marriage?

“These are the regulations you must present to Israel. — Exodus 21:1 NLT

That seems pretty clear…

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that….— 1 Timothy 4:1 KJV

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. — John 16:13 KJV

…in the latter times some shall depart from THE FAITH… — 1 Timothy 4:1 KJV

So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. — Romans 10:17 KJV

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for THE FAITH which was once delivered unto the saints. — Jude 1:3 KJV

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as THERE SHALL BE FALSE TEACHERS among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. — 2 Peter 2:1 KJV

Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. — John 8:44 KJV

…in hypocrisy; … — 1 Timothy 4:2 KJV

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. — Matthew 23:13 KJV

…having their conscience seared with a hot iron; — 1 Timothy 4:2 KJV

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds [they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; — Jude 1:11-12 KJV

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach. — Matthew 23:2-3 NLT

But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men. — Matthew 15:9 KJV

Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. — 1 John 3:4 NLT

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy…. — Matthew 5:17 KJV

YAhushuwah aka Jesus was VERY clear that he never came to destroy aka do away with the law or the prophets

So let us look at the laws of this world that contradict the law of YAH God.

HISTORY OF ANTI-BIGAMY LAWS
Even before Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, Diocletian and Maximian passed strict anti-polygamy laws in 285 AD that mandated monogamy as the only form of legal marital relationship, as had traditionally been the case in classical Greece and Rome.[citation needed] In 393, the Roman Emperor Theodosius I issued an imperial edict to extend the ban on polygamy to Jewish communities. In 1000, Rabbi Gershom ben Judah ruled polygamy inadmissible within Ashkenazi Jewish communities living in a Christian environment.

History and scripture is clear. The ONLY marriage forbidden by church leadership that is allowed by YAH God is polygynous marriage. The holy spirit saw it coming.

Just as a matter of clarification monogamy is blessed (ISAAC AND REBECCA) just as is polygyny (JACOB AND RACHEL, LEAH, ZILPAH, BILHAH), what is NOT blessed is SERIAL monogamy, which is dating and also divorce and remarriage outside of Torah, which is biblically defined as fornication, whoremongering and whoredoms / harlotry and abomination.

It is these lifestyles that cause believers to sin perpetually, because they adhere to the demands of idols / devils / demons / godessess taught by men leading the church, rather than the commandments of YAH God. (Just like in the garden)

This is a result of what pleases YAH God…

…In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth [shall be] excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, [that he that is] left in Zion, and [he that] remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, [even] every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. — Isaiah 4:2-4 KJV
