SCRIPTURAL MARRIAGE

Share with:

Having viewed and been involved in conversations regarding biblical scripture on marriage, I think it would be remiss of me to ignore one of the most important figures in the history of of the church.

if you are a Christian a believer and not a Catholic then you would b be called either a Protestant or an Orthodox

The Orthodox (original) church came to be named as such in response to the formation of the Roman Catholic (universal) Church

As I’m sure you know, the Protestant reformation was started by a man named Martin Luther who broke away from the Roman Catholic Church and his revelation, that we are saved by grace through Faith and not by the works by which the Catholic Church burdened believers, is literally the foundation, the basis, the route, the origin of every church denomination that exists today that is not Catholic or Orthodox.

So I think it would behoove, anyone who is interested in what the scriptures have to say on a particular subject to at least hear what he has to say on SCRIPTURAL marriage. Because as historical record shows us, Martin Luther was a fearless man who stood up for SCRIPTURAL TRUTH in the face of the fierce opposition and power of the Roman Catholic Church. Nailing his 95 thesis to the Castle church in Germany.

So in this first article on the subject of scriptural biblical marriage I will leave you with the words of the man responsible for the church denomination that you are in even if it is non-denominational.

“I confess that I cannot forbid a person to marry several wives, FOR IT DOES NOT CONTRADICT THE SCRIPTURE. If a man wishes to marry more than one wife he should be asked whether he is satisfied in his conscience that he may do so in accordance with the word of God. In such a case the civil authority has nothing to do in the matter.”
