“AS” YOU LOVE YOURSELF

For ALL the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour AS thyself.

Galatians 5

This is a command it is mandatory, it is essential, it is not a suggestion, it is not an opinion.

One of the most frequent comments I hear Christians say is

…where is the love?

many christians

People ask where is the love in the church. Where is the love that is meant to be displayed and demonstrated from a believer to a believer.

I have heard stories that would shock you and may even confuse you as to how how a Christian a believer or even a nonbeliever could do such things against their enemy let alone their own fellow believer.

The one problem is one word in that scripture that is so misunderstood it is ignored it is flippantly taken for granted as if it didn’t mean anything.

That word is

AS

Here is the original hebrew word that was translated into English

Strong's Definitions: כְּמוֹ kᵉmôw, kem-o'; or כָּמוֹ kâmôw; a form of the prefix k, but used separately [compare H3651]; as, thus, so:—according to, (such) as (it were, well as), in comparison of, like (as, to, unto), thus, when, worth.

And just to to clarify the meaning even further here is the word that used in in the Greek New testament translation

Strong's Definitions: ὡς hōs, hoce; probably adverb of comparative from G3739; which how, i.e. in that manner (very variously used, as follows):—about, after (that), (according) as (it had been, it were), as soon (as), even as (like), for, how (greatly), like (as, unto), since, so (that), that, to wit, unto, when(-soever), while, × with all speed.

So we see that the meaning of that command is clear in its intention that we use the love for ourselves as the template for the love of our neighbours.

Sadly Satan has infiltrated the church, perverting the definition of love, so that now what has been normalised, accepted and promoted and supported is essentially self-hatred masquerading as love for self.

Let me present to you a few observations that I have made over the years.

Now, before you fly off the handle, with comments before the end of reading this list, I acknowledge, that granted, these are generalizations, but, you will get the drift.

“Black” men celebrate the beauty of light skin “black”women over and above anything else

“Black” women go to many dangerous lengths to lighten their skin.

“Black” women spend hundreds even thousands of pounds per year putting on weeks and weaves to emulate “white” women’s hair.

“White” women love going to places to get a tan and darken the skin regardless of the dangerous sunbathing can do.

“White” women get injected to obtain fuller lips ignoring the inherent dangers.

“White” women have implants surgically inserted for fuller “black” shaped bottoms

Many Asians and Indians view being white and blond as being superior or the epitome of beauty.

I could go on and on but will stop there.

In all points these people are targeted by the systems of this world control by the enemy of our souls. To feel that the way that they are is not good enough to love.

So people wear masks all over their body in one way or another, thinking that is love. They take on the attributes of a different set of people to “enhance” themselves and think they are loving themselves.

These are just a few observations out of a multitude of behavioural and societal norms.

So my answer to the question

where is the love in the church?

is,

why do you expect love from people who don’t love YAH God or themselves?

No matter what people do we are commanded as individuals to love YAH God first, and we do that by keeping his commandments.

So make the conscious decision and daily effort to love God by keeping his commandments because then you will start to realise how much the creator of heaven and earth loves you, through YAHushuWaH aka Jesus you will learn how to love yourself, THEN, you will learn how to love your neighbour.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
