WHY MOST CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIM ASYLUM SEEKERS ARE THE SAME

…always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, — Colossians 1 NLT

Year in, year out, hundreds, if not thousands of Muslims seek asylum from a country that is under sharia law,

What is Sharia Law

Sharia law is the religious law of Islam, derived from the Quran and the Sunna, which includes the sayings and practices attributed to the Prophet Mohammed.
It is seen as the expression of God’s command for Muslims and constitutes a system of duties that are incumbent upon all Muslims by virtue of their religious belief.
Sharia deals with all aspects of a Muslim’s life, ranging from family and personal matters to criminal and commercial issues.
It is the ideal form of divine guidance that Muslims follow to live a righteous life.
Human interpretations of Sharia, known as fiqh, form the basis of Islamic law today.

So here we have Muslims who live and advocate for Islam seeking asylum from countries who operate by Islamic law.

That wouldn’t be an issue, except, the same asylum seeking muslims, seeking refuge from a country that imposed Islamic standards, are petitioning for the same Islamic standards to be imposed in the country the have run to seek safety and make a new life in.

Interesting

So how does this relate to many Christians today?

Well, Sharia law is very much likened to the kingdom of darkness that Christians are delivered out of. So, upon believing the gospel, then repenting of their sins and then going on to being baptised, coming to Christ, and learning how to live holy, many Christians then start to advocate and petition for the standards of the life they were delivered from to be in their new life in a new kingdom.

Make it make sense.

They (the apostles) advocate customs that are not lawful for us as Romans to accept or practice.” — Acts 16:21 ESV

Sadly, without realising it, the majority of the customs Christians want to hold on to are Roman in origin and, by default, are incompatible with the kingdom of Christ.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. — Matthew 6:33 KJV

Disciples, believers, Christians have an unyielding responsibility to prioritise the Kingdom of God above all else, which requires discipline and dedication. Relentless desire for what pleases YAH fuelled by love. Being set apart from the standards of this world.

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. — Hebrews 12:14 NLT

SO WHAT NOW ?

I encourage you if you are a believer to love the truth, do not be dissuaded from abiding in it. Do not live a life wherein you learn about doctrinal positions but live a life that is directed by truth. To love means to obey. The enemy knows if he can get you to not obey the truth, he can wear you down to drop your standards, to compromise.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. — 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NKJV

Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. — Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

THINK ABOUT THIS…

What if disciples, Christians, believers in Christ were as resolute and dedicated for the truth of God in christ as the world religions followers are for the lies they follow and promote?

Shalom Love and Blessings in MessiYAH
