RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THE LAW

Romans 10:1-4 KJV — Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ [is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

There really is not much for me to write on this particular subject because the Apostle Paul basically covered everything in his letter to the church at Rome.

Sadly in the body of Christ the MessiYAH there are two polarising sets of opinion, one claims we no longer have to to observe anything to do with the law of Moses and the other opinion states that we are bound to everything within the law of Moses.

This very short article is aimed at the role of the law as pertaining to the righteousness of YAH

Romans 6:1-2 KJV — What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Although we are commanded to observe and guard the commandments it is not by the commandments that we gained our righteousness.

Ephesians 2:8-10 NKJV — For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

It is through what Christ Jesus the MessiYAH YAHushua has done that we gained our righteousness. It is by taking up our cross and following him, being filled with the Holy spirit of YAH and living holy/set-apart that we are deemed Righteous

Psalm 119:142 KJV — Thy righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and thy law [is] the truth.

We are called to be disciples of Christ the MessiYAH, and being a disciple means being disciplined, and being disciplined means adhering to a predefined strict code of conduct.

Psalm 119:151 KJV — Thou [art] near, O LORD; and ALL thy commandments [are] truth.

The undeniable fact is that every kingdom of earth has laws, statutes, judgements commandments, precepts and the kingdom of YAH the kingdom of YAHushua is no different in fact it is THE first of all kingdoms and will be the last.

Matthew 6:33a KJV — …seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness….

Shalom love and blessings
