FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE THINGS

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:22 KJV

This morning as we prepare to enter back into what one could call a “new normal” working environment, out of what I have called the greatest opportunity for believers, for the church to assess and realign themselves with scripture. It was impressed on my mind to write this article.

There are so many believers in the body of Christ, who do have a zeal for God, but they have been indoctrinated with wrong teaching.

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Romans 10:2 KJV

My mind started to think about the scripture quote above where Jesus is talking about the many people who will come to him declaring about the amount of things they did for him in his name and he will say to them I never knew you and tell them that they were workers of iniquity which is people who did not fully obey and walk with him, people who did 99% or less of what God wants and then 1% or more of what they want to do.

There is such an emphasis on people getting into ministry, fulfilling their calling and other so-called prophetic words or Christian church positions, or departments, or ministry titles, that the primary call of being a man, a father, a son, a brother, a friend and of being a woman and mother a daughter, a sister, a friend is neglected.

Where am I coming from with this you may ask. Well I am coming from a place where I have been on stage multiple times, been on TV, multiple times, been offered multiple contracts in various areas of life and much more.

The key things with all the things that I have experienced and continue to experience, is that they never compromised my God giving role and responsibility of being a man in all its different facets, and I never had to to put myself in a compromising position and I never actually pushed myself or went after these so-called positions areas or experiences of success. God gave these things to me and continually gives these things to me, there is no effort on my part to go after these things, my focus is the kingdom of God and his righteousness, it is God who brings the opportunities and the people to me or me to them.

Sadly I see so many neglecting and forsaking the core responsibilities and roles that God has given them in their home in order to go after and achieve so called trappings of success, that are unable to fix the things they have rneglected in order to obtain that success, wether in ministry career or business.

It is for this reason that I titled this article mind your own business, because whoever you are and whatever responsibilities you may have now, whatever position you are in, that is your own business.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV

Whatever responsibilities you have, focus on those, because that is where God has you now, it is what he has given to you and in the time that he chooses he will give more, he will cause, he will bring about the change, the promotion, the move or whatever it is, as long as you you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness in your life in everything that you do.

Many of you have plans and have worked out strategic routes on how to accomplish some so-called route to success. But in so doing you have neglected that which God has given into your hand to do.

For [the kingdom of heaven is] as a man travelling into a far country, [who] called his own servants, and DELIVERED UNTO THEM HIS GOODS. And unto one HE GAVE …

Matthew 25:14-15 KJV

Take note of your God-given role and responsibilities as a man or a woman. Take account of everything that you have in your hand, and start to work on bearing fruit with what you have managing well. Work on getting your life in order according to to the will of God as detailed in scripture as a man or a woman practically.

In my life I have been offered so many things. Some things would have made me rich overnight or propelled me into media limelight, however, I have a saying

Not everything that glitters is God

Me

In other words just because it looks beautiful and shiny and wonderful and everybody else would love it, that doesn’t mean that it is God’s will or that it is God giving it.

God blessed US saying be fruitful and multiply

I want you to understand that the command for us to be blessed has already been declared by YAH, there’s no need to go outside of what he has given us in order to be blessed

SEEK FIRST, AS A PRIORITY

The kingdom, the reign of YAH and his righteousness in your life and ALL things will be added to you

Everything has its season, everything has a time in which it blossoms and bears fruit, so do you and so do I.

As disciples of Jesus we have to be disciplined and focused. If Jesus doesn’t give it I don’t want it.

Anything that Jesus gives will not cause me or you to neglect or abandon anything else that he has already given me or you.

So I encourage you to prayerfully look at what you have in your hand at the moment, what other skills that you have obtained up to now.

Are there areas in your life that you need to align correctly with God’s word?

And she said, [As] the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I [am] gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go [and] do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring [it] unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son…

1 Kings 17:12-13 KJV

Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim….

John 2:7 KJV

Just like the little that the widow had, and the vessels that Jesus commanded to be filled with water to obtain wine, you already have everything you need, be faithful in what you have, no matter how little you think it is, do not be conformed to this worlds way of thinking, labouring to be rich, going after success and it’s trappings, when your mind is transformed by obedience to the word of God your life will transform effortlessly.

Like the water in those vessels the change into wine happens internally when you receive the word of God with gladness in your heart and you obey it, all that is left is for you to be poured out in service to the King of Kings.

Just take the good advice that Mary the mother of Jesus gave…

…WHATSOEVER HE SAITH UNTO YOU, DO [IT].

John 2:5 KJV
